Tenant

If you want to contact one or more landlords, you need to purchase access to RentHome to get access to the landlords’ contact details. Once you have purchased access via a listing, you can contact the landlord directly from the listing by clicking “Contact landlord”. If you have specific questions about the rental you are interested in, you can always contact the landlord directly from the listing by clicking “Contact landlord”.

Yes. According to our terms, listings must be deactivated/removed as soon as the home has been rented out. Therefore, all homes on RentHome are generally available while the listing is active. Please note, however, that the rental market often moves fast, and some rentals are therefore taken very quickly.

You can create your Housing Request here.

When you create your Housing Requests on RentHome and set up a profile that presents you as a home seeker (with information about you and your criteria), a landlord with an available rental that matches your criteria can contact you directly.

Creating a home seeker ad is free, but it requires that you create a free user on RentHome and complete your profile before creating it.

At RentHome we offer a tool called Housing Matcher that can help you find your next rental home. Housing Matcher is a service that, based on the criteria you enter, notifies you by email when new relevant rentals are published. Sign up and specify your search criteria here.

No, RentHome does not rent out or manage the homes listed on RentHome. RentHome is a rental portal where landlords can advertise their available rentals. RentHome therefore provides information about available rentals across the country. The purpose is that you, as a home seeker, can see available rentals in one place and save time in your home search by using our service.

If, after purchasing access to RentHome, you still can’t see the landlord’s contact details, log out of your RentHome account and refresh the page by pressing Ctrl + F5. Then log in again, and you should be able to see the contact details. If this does not solve the problem, please contact our support at support@renthome.ca, and we will help you further.

Landlords create listings in order to rent out their home, and in most cases they have a natural interest in replying to enquiries. Some landlords receive so many messages that they cannot reply as quickly as they would like. It is normal that it can take up to 8 days before you hear back from a landlord.
